This is the web site of Bury Hill Fisheries, a superb general coarse fishery consisting of three lakes set amidst a beautiful 200-year-old country estate nestling in a secluded valley noted for its "outstanding natural beauty" and "abundance of wildlife".

These pages are full of information about one of Britain's finest day ticket coarse fisheries which caters for the pleasure, specimen and match angler offering both bank and boat fishing.

Situated just 20 miles from central London in the heart of the Surrey hills, the fisheries facilities include a new boathouse complex complete with toilets, shop and café. The fishery is disabled friendly and permanently staffed making it ideal for youngsters, who together with OAP's and disabled anglers benefit from concessionary prices.

Every week we will be providing you with the very latest information on just what is happening at Bury Hill, reporting on the catches, hot pegs, top methods and best baits on all three of our lakes.

Articles by our resident experts will explain the tackle and techniques needed to get the most from your visit. You will also find articles covering a wide range of topics extracted from leading magazines, which have been written by some of the countries top anglers, many of whom are regular visitors to the fishery. In addition, Bury Hill owner David de Vere offers a regular glimpse into the secret life of the fishery in his regular BH Diary.

When you see the quality of sport on offer and the wide range of facilities available in a beautiful and tranquil setting, we are sure that you will want to pay us a visit and look forward to welcoming you in the near future.

For non angling members of your party, Dorking and the surrounding country side is steeped in history with many tourist attractions, giving all members of the family a day out to remember.

About this copy

Figures come first from the fishery’s own pages of 2001 to 2011, as saved by the Internet Archive, and from the former operator’s website. Forum threads, films and press reports come second and are marked as anglers’ accounts. Each figure links to its source and the date it was captured. Where sources disagree, both are shown.
